Our newest team member, Brianna Harvey has worked in the field of social work for over 10 years and is most recently joining us from Santa Monica College Guardian Scholars Program. She is passionate about working with former foster youth and is excited to support BGS students in achieving their goals and connecting them with campus resources.
Jendalyn Coulter is a Sophomore student at UCLA, majoring in Sociology and minoring in Education and Civic Engagement. She currently works as a BGS student Intern and serves as BGS’s Internal Advocacy Director. Jendalyn’s other campus involvements include engaging in Afrikan Student Union, working as an office assistant for Residential Life, researching for Academic Advancement Program, and coaching for Bruin Guardian Scholars Academy. She is committed to serving underrepresented populations, and hopes to open-up a series of non-profit organizations for communities of foster youth, urban youth, and women.

Angelique is a transfer student from Riverside Community College, now a 4th year philosophy student here at UCLA preparing to graduate this Spring. She is a highly active member in the foster youth community as the Vice President of the BGS Leadership Board. Some of her experience includes her participation in last year’s Congressional Foster Youth Shadow Day Program in DC where she shadowed congress member Ted Lieu of District 33 California. Through her participation in this program she was able to speak with the congressman about her experiences in foster care and discuss the state of current child welfare policies. Angelique’s post-graduation plans include taking some time to travel and then applying to law schools so she can continue her work in advocating for foster youth.

Yennifer is a sophomore here at UCLA majoring in Sociology and minoring in Applied Developmental Psychology. She is a mother to her one and a half year old daughter named Athena. She enjoys being a part of the BGS staff and helping other college students like herself succeed.
